The Beginning
What started as a home experiment with a bag of green beans and a borrowed roaster slowly grew into something far bigger. Perry became obsessed with the details most people overlook: the mineral content of the water, the exact temperature of the pour, the precise seconds a bloom needs to breathe. Friends and neighbors started dropping by just for a cup, and it quickly became clear that Aurora was hungry — or rather, thirsty — for coffee made with this kind of care. In 2021, that passion project officially became Clean Drips LLC, and we opened our doors on South Iola Street with a single mission: to serve the cleanest, most honest coffee in Colorado.
Our Philosophy
The name Clean Drips is more than a clever play on words. It is a promise. To us, "clean" means transparency at every stage — from the farms we source from, to the water we filter, to the way we brew. We choose beans that are ethically grown and fully traceable, so we can tell you exactly where your coffee came from and who grew it. We reject the industry habit of drowning mediocre coffee in artificial syrups, and instead let the natural sweetness and complexity of the bean shine through. A clean drip is coffee with nothing to hide.
Rooted in the Community
Clean Drips has always been about more than coffee. We are a gathering place for our Aurora neighbors — a spot where remote workers find their focus, where friends reconnect over cold brew, and where first dates turn into second ones. We partner with local bakeries for our pastries, source honey from Colorado beekeepers, and host community events that bring people together. When you support Clean Drips, you are supporting a whole web of local makers and growers who share our belief in doing things the honest way.
Sustainability in Every Cup
Caring about what goes into the cup means caring about what happens after it is empty. Every cup, lid and straw we use is compostable or recyclable, and we work hard to minimize waste throughout our operation. Spent coffee grounds are given to local gardeners as compost, and we continually invest in more efficient, lower-impact equipment. We believe a great cup of coffee should never come at the expense of the planet that grows it, and we hold ourselves accountable to that standard every single day.
